More Winter Guard AwardsCongratulations to the Maroon Winter Guard on their performances at Winter Guard International World Championships this past week in Dayton, Ohio. Finishing the season with the two best runs of the years, the guard finished 20th in the nation in the most competitive Scholastic A season in years. The guard had the highest score of any North Carolina guard, finishing ahead of Cary, Green Hope and Clayton from our local area. An incredibly appreciative and receptive audience greeted them in semifinals and the performance there was absloutely amazing. With the core of the guard returning and the other positions being filled by a strong group of younger students who already have experience in regional and regional final competition, the future for this team is incredibly bright. Thanks to everyone for their support throughout the season.
