PASSIVE FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES
Through purchases
PLEASE KEEP THIS SHEET HANDY
Many opportunities are available for WAKEFIELD HS to raise funds through partnership with organizations that designate a fraction of the cost of purchases to be sent to the school. The funds earned from shopping at local businesses or at designated Internet sites are sent directly to the school or the PTSA.
Enrollment by Wakefield High School in these programs does not signify that either the school or the PTSA endorse the companies or products being offered.

QSP READER’S DIGEST:
Order or renew your magazines here!! OVER 600 TO CHOOSE FROM. Go directly to the PTSA passive fundraising link at wakefieldhs.net/ptsa/fundraising.php and click on the QSP Logo. Up to 40% of each sale comes directly to WHS!!!
OFFICE DEPOT :
Shop at Office Depot for your back to school supplies . They will donate 5% of your purchases to Wakefield HS. Just mention Wakefield HS when you check out.
HARRIS TEETER-TOGETHER IN EDUCATION:
At the store check out counter, present the VIC card and give the WAKEFIELD HS number (#4707). Or go online to Harristeeter.com. Click on “Community”. Then click on “Together in Education”. Click on “Link your Vic Card to your school now!” Use the School code: 4707. Each VIC cardholder needs to re-register at the beginning of the school year. Use the convenient form in this packet, and mail back to us.
FOOD LION:
Go to Foodlion.com. Click on the “Fundraising” link. Then click the “Lion Shop & Share” link. If you are registering for the first time Click: “Register MVP Cards”, if you are re-linking your card(s), Click on “Re-Link MVP Cards” . Then select Wakefield High School PTSA as your organization. OR you can fill out the enclosed forms and mail them back to us, and we will be happy to do this for you!
TARGET:
Target will donate 1% of your purchase to our school. Apply for a Target Guest Card or Visa, indicate on the form that you would like Wakefield HS to receive the 1% rebate on purchases at no additional cost to you. If you already have a Target Card/ or Visa, call 1-800-316-6142 and sign up to have Wakefield HS receive the 1%.
STAPLES:
Staples will donate $1 directly to Wakefield High School PTSA for every eligible
inkjet or laser toner cartridge we collect. Just drop your printer
cartridges in the collection box in the school office. Collection boxes for
teachers will be located in the teacher mailroom and 2nd & 3rd floor
workrooms. Staples will recycle all cartridges and determine which are
eligible for the $1 donation.
CORPORATE GIVING:
Some corporations (Glaxo Wellcome, IBM, etc.) may donate funds or equipment to nonprofits for volunteer hours donated by their employees. IBM and other companies have Matching Grants programs (financial or equipment contributions) that may be available. Please call your Human Resources or Personnel offices to inquire as to how you may participate.
